I would like feedback from both camps on who is responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Keep in mind the following for the purposes of objectivity.

1. A "conspiracy" is when two or more people plan/carry out something in secret. Whether the CIA, Zionists, the Seven Dwarves, or nineteen hijackers did it, each case is a conspiracy.

2. A "theory" is the best possible explanation for observed events. Since this question presumes none, you are submitting hypotheses. A hypothesis is tested against what we know and what we observe for congruency. For a complete hypothesis, consider motive as well.

3. What the government says or what you saw in Loose Change doesn't count as evidence, so regurgitate your canned 9/11 argument on another thread with this topic. Try to cite a reputable source (statistics, news report, scholarly work). One good fact is better than a stream of banter.

Best answer will be voted upon.

Apparently nobody's a fan of objective debate. I was trying to stir up some fact finding, but you all are just focused on beliefs, which are dangerous no matter where they are held.

For all you super patriots, I think Loose Change is bullshit. That's right- I examined the claim and compared it to actual facts and called bullshit. The point of the exercise was to get people to actually think about what they unquestioningly believe.

I find the "Bush did it" idea absolutely ridiculous. We have seen our government do things under-handed before, and somebody always leaks for the glamor and fame. Look at the Watergate scandal, the Clinton-Lewinsky fiasco. These were peanuts compared to the manpower it would take to orchestrate a self-inflicted terrorist attack, and yet, no one is leaking. If I knew the government was behind it, I would speak up. If nothing else, there would be millions of dollars to be made with that kind of story.

Why is it so important to know "who" committed 9/11? Do you believe what you believe because you have more "faith" -- i imagine -- in your institutions, and therefore you give them the benifit of the doubt (overlook highly suspect evidence and omit it from the process of simply discussing 911? What is it that makes you turn your back of traditional methods of investigation? Are you scared? What are you scared of -- are you scared the enemy is the corrupt bearaucratic intity we know as the american govt? -- the govt we as a public havent trusted, or really voted for, in over forty years, insipidly corrupt (by ANY measure). Does it bother you that that we've known about this cancer in our govt and people like you havent the initiative to realize it's not going to go away, the corruption and all the trappings of (like 9/11)?

YOU can think what ya wanna think, do what ya wanna do -- that's all good and well, but when so many coincidences pile up in an investigation that in hindsight was clearly designed to fit a series of foregone conclusion regarding al queada, osama conducting 911with a walkie talkie in a cave (i like to call this the "caveman theory")reached by the media and administration within mere hours of the event, pictures of hijackers.

That's great. But it doesnt work that way, put the cart in front of the horse. Naivety is needed, stay dumbed-down and argue about liberals vs conservatives, sure, turn 911 into a partisan boxing match trying to blame it on clinton or bush, back and forth, back and forth, while the rest of us real americans continue to ask real questions try to get to the bottom of an investigation that wasnt an investigation at all, but a grand hoax made up of steering committees and closed door sessions. Wake up putz. The people are not supposed to be afraid of the 911 investigation or the govt...the govt should be afraid of its people.....not an investigation.

BUT, just like you, the 911 investigation was only interested elements of 9/11 that supported a pat conclusion (everything else was ommitted). Just like you, that method is faulty, a straw man, and precisely what happens everytime an investigation is driven by "who" did it. Typically investigations begin with "how" and work their way to an intuitive "who", thus you entire belief system about 9/11 is faulty.

The fact is, truly, YOU, and YOUR govt need to PROVE to us you little coincidence theory.

Al Queda tried to blow up WTC once before, fact.
Bin Laden is the head of Al Queda, fact.
19 terrorsits trained in our country to learn how to fly commercial airlines, fact.
One terrorist was detained, fact.
Bin Laden had been on the radar as a serious threat to the USA and thier interests abroad, fact.
Clinton knew there was a serious threat against our interests, fact.
Bush knew there was a serious threat against our interests, fact.
4 commercial airliners crashed on September 11, 2001, fact. A military response, within our country on 9/11 was not fast enough, fact.
The FAA grounded every airliner following the crashes, fact. THOUSANDS of innocent men, women and children died as a result of the crashed airliners, fact!
The U.S. government had at least 2 different opportunities to detain Bin Laden prior to 9/11, fact.

I hypothesize that Bin Laden is an "oil man", much like the Bush family is....and by the way, I am a Republican and respect our current President. I hypothesize that Bin Laden saw the wealth and prosperity of the USA as a slap in the face because all that he had he had to work very hard for and/or fight for. That is not to say that Bush did not fight or work hard, but I think it is a common perception for others to look at the grass in our neighbors yard as always being greener. I hypothesize that 9/11 was a personal attack against the Bush family. Can I quote any reputible sources for my theory, no. But I am a licesneced therapist and know a great deal about wrath, envy, greed...and in all honesty I feel 9/11 was a very intimate attack against a family.

Look, I really REALLY enjoy a good debate. Debate, not war of words. If you have any info to share or facts PLEASE please contact me via email!

There is no point in answering questions/dossiers like yours. You will not be interested in "the other side" as it does not comply with your thoughts. My only comment is when someone with real credibility and not the seekers of fame, fortune or recognition come forward with cold hard facts saying the government was in on in it. Until then, I will believe it was Islamic extremists and no one else.

9/11 was a conspiracy conducted under the shadow of Al Qaeda, the extremest muslim terrorist group, against their sworn enemy, the United States, and in the attack killed greater than 3,000 innocent American civilian lives.

You mean whoever agrees with you will be voted for?
Your definition of conspiracy doesn't reflect the modern meaning of the word. If we can't use any evidence from the people who disagree with you then that makes for a very unfair debate.
