Buy 2 boxes of kleenex, and rent them a really romantic comedy and while they are watching pack up your stuff that you can carry (like clothing) and then come back watch some of the movie with them , and during a really funny moment tell them you are leaving ,but you will get your other stuff later. Then you can leave, and phone them in a few weeks and tell them you will come by and get the rest of your stuff. If they ask why you didnt tell them , just say you did but that they must not have heard you over the movie. LOL.... then tell them you were really hurt that they did not even notice.

Move all of your things out of the house slow one peace at a time so they don't notice. If you can ,then when you think you have enough of the important things then tell them! It don't matter what they say as long as you feel all right about moving. But if you seined a contract that's a diff ball of wax!

Just move out, pay them what you owe. no problem.
If your name is on the lease and you owe them rent, you owe them.
