Without going into a LONG discussion, one person's view and opinion of crossdressing can be vastly different from that of another. What forms that opinion is the degree of research and education one is willing to devote to understand what crossdressing is, as well as what it ISN'T. Far too many people are uneducated about it and these tend to adopt the opinions of others who are equally ignorant of the facts surrounding crossdressing simply because they don't want to find the facts for themselves. These are usually people who believe that someone is a crossdresser simply because they WANT to be and make a conscious decision to crossdress. Actually there is more evidence being uncovered daily which indicates that the need to crossdress is something that an individual is born with and as such had no choice in the matter.

Another myth is that crossdressers are gay. Surveys and the stastistics developed from them indicate that 10% of the male population crossdresses to some degree and that 90% of all these are totally heterosexual. Most are well educated, hold above average jobs, and are highly respected in their communities and social circles, and active in helping the communities in which they live. However, in spite of their good works, they are keenly aware that if their secret were revealed to their acquaintances, it could easily bring their world crashing down around them.

I think cross-dressing if great, I'm a cross-dresser & I love to crossdress. I have fun when I dress-up as a girl, I love the clothes, high heels, make-up, shaving my legs, it's fun to be a girl once in a while & my wife loves it too.

My view on crossdressing is: if you identify with the other sexes fashion and ect. Then do what you feel is right.
There's no sense is dressing the way people want you to dress.

Women have the best looking clothes so what's wrong with wanting to enjoy wearing stylish duds? Designers of mens clothes should get out of the rut of blue suits, bland shirts and pants, and basic designs that make every man look like a clone.

I have no problem with them, its normal here in Calif to see them and my husband and I can laugh about which ones are or aren't guys...etc.

However, I went to Vegas and was acting tour guide to my cousin from PA, and had to tell him not to look at that guy, because even though he dressed like that and showed much, he was a guy.....Very interesting to see how people who aren't used to that react to it.

Crossdressers mimic women very closely, but I don't mind it unless they try to decieve people in my family......Then I will say something about it to either let them know about it or if they like it, then oh well, its their life. My cousin was thankful that I informed him, he was about to tip him/her? for his drink......

I believe that anyone should have the right to dress how they want.women do everyday with what they wear but men have to do it in secret. Even though I am female I dont think that this is fair.

Once I had a boyfriend, years ago... who "confessed" to me he liked cross-dressing in secret... and had even been wearing my clothes while I was not around. The whole thing really bothered me... and I had to break off the relationship. This is definately something you should tell someone upfront if you are dating... but not something you need to tell your friends.

OK-you want to cross dress-- be the opposite-- cool and all. But what I don't get is why would the same sex bother, they can get the real thing if that's what they are attracted to. And if you go after the opposite sex what you going to do when its time to get nasty??

I cross dress every day but I'm a woman so it seems that is acceptable. Eddie Izzard always looks pretty cool so I don't see why not.

It's just clothes. I certainly don't think we need any constitutional amedments telling people how to dress.
