Dear Rene,

It really depends on your situation, let me ask you a couple of questions:
1- How long have you been in the company
2- Are you getting monthly bonuses
3- are you a hard worker and motivated
4- Is your boss happy from you

These four questions if you answer them (think as yourself the boss) and see the answers in his point of view then what you should do next, is write him a letter, telling him how much you appreciate working with him, and how much you like the company, but you think you deserve a raise due to the high prices going on and your hard work.

But if you still have not reached one year in ur co, i prefer you dont ask for the raise now

Good luck

In my home based business I just go find more referrals.

But in a standard job you need to look at what is expected of you and make sure that you are performing where you need to be. Then look for ways to expand your knowledge and expertise. Take on new responsibilities if at all possible. Show some initiative.

Then if you do what was all ready mentioned, you really should get a raise. Maybe even a promotion.

Ask him for one. Then a few days later go to work dressed really nice (like for an interview) and take a normal lunch. If you're worth it, you'll get the raise.
