Teaching is something wonderful. It is selfless and it helps the society in developing into a first class society.
Teachers are people who teach. They rank their student above themselves, and they are ever-willing to sacrifice themselves to let the students benefit.
(Sorry, my english isn't that good.)

It all depends on the type of person who is teaching. Teachers are human, therefore they can have agendas. I'm not saying that all agendas are bad. Some agendas can further the advancements of society or they can set it back, it all depends. Not all teachers should be teaching, and some people that have valuable information should.
I am going into the teaching profession, and I believe that teachers are needed because someone needs to water the seeds of the american future. Teachers water them by inspiring and recalling all aspects of subjects.
To answer your question, there is not a wrong answer nor is there a right one. I believe that the person who wrote, "Do your own homework." It really is up to a person to decide what a teacher is. My opinion is different from many, so you should be asking, what is a teacher and what is teaching from your own point of view? Good luck.

A Teacher in a Catholic school has a mission. A Catholic teacher or educational institution aims first of all to help their students to reach heaven. Therefore a good teacher is one who helps her students reach their final end or goal which is heaven. A teacher therefore is one who is a good role model. A good teacher is one who can teach her students good values. A good teacher should teach through her actions because actions speak louder than words. A good teacher teaches by who she or he is. If she is a good wife and mother, she can teach her students how to be good wives or mothers. If she is a good role model, her words will have more credibility because she practices what she preaches. Also a teacher is one who shows the way. She should enjoy learning so that the students enjoy learning too. She should be diligent so that she can pass on the virtue of diligence to her students. She must be devoted to the truth so that she can teach her students to love the truth. She should know how to love so that she can teach the students how to love. If she practices the virtues, she can be more efffective because the students don't only learn the concept of the virtues, they will see the virtues in action.
