I use the fleece for my guinea pigs, I was just wondering if it would be ok to use it for the hamsters also? Most likley I would still use a small amount up in thier sleeping quarters but as far as the main cage goes would it be alright?

no. it can get stuck in their pouches and it can negatively affect their digestive system if chewed, which it likely will be. give him plain dye-free toilet paper like scott & even the roll it's on instead. this is for bedding only. u still need carefresh or aspen for the whole floor. they will use it for bedding too.

it will probably be okay, and I guess the hamsters won't really care.
just bear in mind that cotton fleece has a lot of chemicals in it and synthetic fabrics ought to be rinsed in cold water before use.
if they develop eye, nose, or lung complaints you should stop using it immediately.

hi . when you say fleece do u mean the cotton wool like stuff? if so thats great for your hamster as i have one, you can put it in his sleeping quarters as well. i only use it in the sleeping quarters as you should sawdust in the bottom tray as they like that as well.hope that helps.
