I vaguely remember (or may have dreamt it). It was an episode with the big bad being a woman who had 'drawn-on' eyes... she had holed up in a big old dark house, and anyone who looked into her eyes got turned into a kind of small slug thing. Also, there were these big insectoid monsters which were kind of transparent... as if they were made of opaque white glass or plastic. Can anyone tell me whether this episode actually exists, and if so, what is it called?

I think the story your talking about is "Image of the Fendahl" from series 15, first broadcast in October 1977.

Details of the story are on the BBC link below, and there's a pic of the woman with "draw on eyes" on the wikipedia link.

One of the better episodes from that era Image of the Fendahl, the slugs are Fendalin, it was very Tales of the Unexpected / Hammer House sort of story very good.
Mind you nothing beat the Jon Pertwee Green Death for giving Me nightmares for a few months and gave me a good phobia for a number of years about maggots until I learnt what the damn things actually where!

there have been various distinctive variations of the headscarf. the 1st became knitted via a girl noted as Begonia Pope, who became given a large volume of wool in distinctive hues which she became meant to decide from to knit a classic sized headscarf. She apparently did no longer comprehend, inspite of the incontrovertible fact that, and used each and every of the wool she became given. the headscarf ended up being 14 ft long and multicoloured.
