I wonder what the word "representation" means in this particular sentence;

"If the client makes any incorrect or untrue statement or representation in connection with this agreement...."

tell me please, if "representation" here means "the power of attorney" or rather a document of complaint or something... please, help :)

'Representation' in these regard means any comment that the client may make in connection with or affecting the agreement. It has nothing to do with power of attorney. Say the client is entering into an agreement to sell 5000 cases of widgets. which have to be imported. Before the agreement is signed he says 'the widgets have been manufactured and are in a container ready to be shipped'. The buyer urgently needs the widgets and has told the seller that. An agreement to sell is entered into, but the fact that the container is loaded ready for shipping is not mentioned in the contract. In fact, the container is not loaded and the widgets have not been manufactured. The statement by the seller would be an untrue representation as it is something the buyer relied on, having told the seller he need the widgets urgently. I hope this is clear!
