I went for an interview last week, and just got my rejection letter. I have now attended four job interviews in the last htree months, and have received four rejections. I have tried to rise about it but it is hard. I feel so upset and hurt. What do I do next? Is it worth employing a career coach? Thanks.

Just think withurself ,
1- what went wrong
2- what did you say
3- were you nrevous
4- do you have the exerience needed

you can lie in your resume but in an interview you cant, check your pros and cons, since now you have done like 4 interviews that means that you have known what they ask and what they want, be the first to answer with power and be fit, dont let anyone put you down, keep searching and your luck will be there, yuo just need to grab it quickly

Good luck

Hi,

Your resume, your skills, and your background must be great to be able to get the interview. Maybe it's your interview skills that you need to improve.

Perhaps you can role-play interviewing with someone you respect so they can offer you some suggestions for improving your interview techniques. You could tape record or video your practice sessions so you can go over them to see what you can improve.

After conducting many interviews, these are some suggestions I can offer to help impress the interviewer:

1. Have a good handshake -- firm, but don't crunch the other person's hand. Look them in the eye and smile when you shake hands.

2. Use good posture, and carry yourself with confidence.

3. Act interested and show it in your body language. Lean forward as you talk to the person interviewing you.

4. Be enthusiastic, but not crazy with it. An employer often has many candidates with the same skills, but the attitude is what sets the successful candidate apart from the others.

5. Ask questions. You should have done your homework about the company interviewing you. So ask specific questions to show that you're interested in the company, in the department, in the position.

6. Let them know at the end of the interview that you'd like to have the job. So many people forget to do this and sometimes I'd have to wonder if they even wanted the job or would accept it if we offered it! It's not unreasonable to simply say, "This position sounds like just what I'm looking for, and I know I will do a great job for you. I hope I'm the candidate you select."

7. Send a hand-written thank you note after the interview. Send through the mail, not email. Take it to the local post office close to their office so it will be delivered the very next day. Make sure you spell the interviewer's name correctly! Call or stop on your way out and ask the company's receptionist for the correct spelling if you didn't get a business card. You can say it was nice meeting them and learning more about the company, thank them for their time, and state once more that you'd like to have the job. Take a few minutes and spend a few cents to make a good impression and stand out from the competition.

Good Luck!

it's either you are expecting too much or you are not trying hard enough...

assess yourself, do you really think you are capable for the job? maybe you need a lot more experience on that particular work that you wanted. make the first and possible step first before going to the next, you can't reach level 2 if you haven't been to level 1...and then when you're there, work hard to get yourself to the next one, the one that you really want.

or maybe you're not trying hard enough. you might not have found the right job for you. consider your jobhunting as a deck of cards: your applications are the 52 cards, and the 4 aces are the jobs you would most likely get. so that means for every 13 applications, one of them will say 'congratulations, you're hired!'.

you've only got four applications so far..so try harder.
good luck!
