I'm not a communist but the other day someone who answered one of my questions insulted britain by saying we love 'Homosexuals and communists' for one if you are going to refer to someones sexuality its 'Gay' but there is no need as 'Gay' people are now accepted in mainstream british society apart from bigots who like to be unintelligent, my second point is about communism we dont love 'communists' but we in this country accept views that are not our own, e.g religion, which is about the only thing america does accept as long as its christianity or catholicism, in britain we are far more advanced in our thinking than america and thats not an insult i know thier are a lot of forward thinking people in the U.S, but on a whole, especially as George Bush was voted in twice, communism isnt the root of evil, bigotry and hate for other peoples opinions or way of life is!

having said that i am straight capitalist

Well, Ming started off quite well, didn't he/she?

Your question is really just an excuse to blow off steam and give people a chance to say how much they hate America, isn't it?

Americans hate communism because:
1) Communist nations tried to destroy us (and you, too, England) from the end of World War 2 (oh, by the way, you're welcome, Europe) until the end of the Cold War.
2) Communism, and all it represents (collectivization, limits on freedom of expression, worship, press, etc), is antithetical to American values.
3) It doesn't work.
4) It enslaved hundreds of millions of people.

These are just a few reasons. As for the rest of your hysterical screed (we don't accept anything other than Christianity, you're "far more advanced" in your thinking), it doesn't even need to be refuted.

If you really were an educated "straight capitalist", you wouldn't have needed these things pointed out to you.

Ask yourself two questions: 1) Is communism possible? 2) Is communism desirable? 1) Communism is wishful thinking. It starts from the concept that no one of those who take part in it will ever try to improve their condition. it puts on the same level hard working people and lazy people. It gives people no motivation since, no matter how hard they work, they will not get anything more or anything less. Face it, communism was not misused: it failed. It failed because it was a stupid theory to begin with, one that failed to take in account a basic human trait: greed. People don´t want something defined; they want more than what they have. And it is thanks to this trait that we are not still hunting bisons while dressed in fur. Communism could work only if we were all lobotomized. And that does not sound as a pleasant condition. If you attempt an experiment many times and it fails every time, what will you think? That the theory behind the experiment is flawed or that it is the universe that dosen´t work? 2) I prefer a world were I can attempt and fail to catch my dreams to one were my aspirations are negated. In communism, I must want an average life. My highest ambition has to be mediocrity. And an ideology that enforces mediocrity only attracts two kind of people: Mediocre, who have nothing to lose and people who wants to exploit them. Forced equality is not freedom. Equal opportunities is. I´m not saying capitalism is perfect, but guess what? Nothing in this world is. It is not capitalism that failed: there is people who fail at it, then they blame society. Well dear, I give them the finger. I´m not an American, but I lived in USA. That country earned my respect. You know why they are in power? Because they ******* deserve it.

If you're going to insult my country, and try to refute ignorance with ignorance, at least use punctuation and capital letters.

well let me say that your comment is very ignorant you sound very self righteous, and grouping a country of 300,000,000 people into one train of thought shows that you really aren't very advanced in your thinking.

the US is a soul sick nation, full of its own arrogance and greed.

Britain has been there and done that, its over itself to some extent, but at the same time, it knows the true value of power. They dont throw it around, shoot things up as much.
