I opened the bonnet and it seemed like steam coming from the radiator. It was a coldish morning. The steam disappeared after about 1 minute. The water in my cooling tank is fine. Can you please let me know if this is normal. I drive a Clio.

I did take it to a garage twice before but they could not replicate the problem.

why? it simple enough.. when in cold weather the thermostat is in closed position, the cold water is chanelled to another smaller size water-cooling lines.. this is to make the coolant water temp raise faster,so the engine will warm-up nicely.. when the water temp reaching 85 celcius, thermostat valve will open and channell all the coolant to the main lines..
thats why the steam come out.. the radiator cap also got these valve.. but it operate with certain pressure.. unlike thermostat.. they operate at specified temp..

What's the weather been like overnight? Mine does that when rain/moisture has got onto the radiator & steams off as it warms up.
Nothing to worry about if that's the case.

I think you should still have it checked by a proper mechanics,
who can point out straight away if they something wrong, you don't want to be in danger , neither, to cost you bigger later on if you didn't deal with the problem your unsure of and main thing is your safety.
