Geeesh... you don't have ick in the tank! Your betta has fin rot. You will need to treat the tank with Furanace or Maracyn according to the package. Please trat for at least 10 days to be sure you get it cured. Also don't forget to take the carbon out of the filter during treatment.

Do you use pond salt regularly. Especially important when keeping fish of this kind. Meanwhile remove the effected fish from the pond thus isolating it from the other fish.
Keep in tank filled with pond water and add a recommended treatment for fin and white spot (apply as directed). If you have a pump that you can attach to the tank all the better. You can buy a small one that would suffice.
You should notice a difference in the effected fish within 5-10 days. However if not and I suspect that radical action is required here (humane killing). Not nice but that is how it can be when you keep fish.
Always buy your fish from a reputable dealer and always carry out good pond maintenance.
You will often find fish with the sort of problems you are describing after the winter hibernation period. This can be prevented in future by correct feeding control and variety of food. And by ensuring that the water temperature is correct when feeding the fish. Also occasionally introduce live food for the extra protein and nutrients present in live food (though don't over do it). Important to clear any unwanted food from pond as putrefied food can cause disease in fish.
As well as enjoying the fish also enjoy the wildlife, small animals and flowers that keeping a pond can bring into your garden.
(Pond safety first and foremost though)

It's probably a fungal infection that it's got. Buy some anti-fungal preparation from your pet-shop and follow the instructions. Best done in a smaller container for the maximum strength of the medication to work. You may yet save it, but it's fighting days may be over. Poor Rocky!
Oh, BTW, you need to disinfect its tank thoroughly to get rid of the organism or it will just catch it again. Good aquarium hygiene is necessary.

they can. i purchased a betta on the save because I felt sorry for him. He replaced into in a cup with so little water he replaced into in part laying on his area and his fin had dried out like a leaf. So after I were given him homestead and positioned him in a huge bowl, the whol fin basically got here off with a sturdy portion of his tail. It took months yet they did strengthen back. I actually have had an angel fish that grew its feelers back.

Go to the pet shop and get a treatment for white spot and fin rot. Tell the pet shop what type of fish it is to get the right medicine. Read the instructions carefully.

Fish may develop bacterial infections sometimes called fin and mouth disease or fin rot or the ich. Go to your local pet store and they'll have a liquid medicine you can put in the water. HURRY though! If left too long it will kill the fish.
