Yeah, I'm fairly femmy. I mean, I have my little spazz outbursts where my friends are like "You are so gay." But, I do find that the label "gay" does sometimes put me up to certain expectation, some of which really annoy me. Like, sometimes, people will refer to me as a girl. It's called TRANSGENDER, people! If I was transgender, then you could call me girl, but I'm not, I'm GAY, which means I'm a guy who likes guys.
Yeah, so many people want to vote for me for prom queen my senior year, they don't understand that I don't like it.
Also, I hate when people ask who the girl in the relationship is. I just say, "Neither, that's how a gay-guy relationship works."

It doesn't really affect me, people take me as I am.
I live in Belgium and here there are few problems for lesbians...
But men do have the tendency to tell me more and ask me about their girlfriends when they have some problems...
And women have the tendency to be charmed by it...I get a lot of hughs from them...

What does affect me positively is, when I am with my gay/lesbian friends, I feel like being in one big family...

I find in South Africa, we have so much diversity that your sexual orientation is just part of the mix. We truly are a colourful nation. So I find it DOESN'T affect my daily life. I live with the same problems, dreams, fears, and obstacles as anybody else.

well everyday there will be some one who will judge you.as a lesbian especially a black lesbian,i notice that im always being stereotyped in some way, firstly im not butch but stone-femme.many people never understand gays & lesbians in a whole.we are in a world were most heteros are either curious, bisexual,or confused.to me if i am able to explain my sexuality and letting there be a basic understanding then i dont mind-even though its very annoying!!

Being gay is a state of being, not a label.
