I have a white like substance around my vagina, it smells pretty bad and itches!!!

I think it may be a yeast infection & I told my Mom about it and she won't allow me to get any treatment or go to the docter for it, it's been like this for months now!!!

Help!

Wow! Not letting you get needed medical treatment is neglect and you should tell your school nurse or counselor or call child welfare services. You should always go to the doctor the first time you suspect a yeast infection.
Try getting to a drug store and buy an over-the-counter product. They work very well, although it's best to see the doc first. A generic 7 day treatment will be most affordable. All products work fairly well. Ask your pharmacist and explain the situation.
Look up free clinics and try to get to one. They don't charge, and they will NOT divulge your information to anyone.
In the meantime, vaginal yeast thrives best in dark, warm, wet places, so try the following steps, which are gross, but help:

Dry your pubic area very thoroughly after the shower and after a workout. A blowdryer with a "cool air" setting is great for this.
When you're alone in your room, try spreading your legs and turning on a light, or shining a flashlight in there (do not insert it into your vagina).
Wear loose cotton panties - other materials can hold moisture into your body.
Get **PLAIN** yogurt, the kind with no flavor at all, not vanilla PLAIN (cannot overstate that it needs to be plain) and smear it in your pubic region. The bacteria in the yogurt will eat the fungus in your crotch.

If all else fails, fake the symptoms of a more serious illness to get in to see the doc sooner.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

that's what many times happens - pass on antibiotics for some thing... get a yeast an infection. many times antibiotic scientific care is for 7 or 10 days. i could say carry out in case you may till you have purely an afternoon or 2 left of antibiotic scientific care till now treating the yeast an infection.

I does sound a bit like a yeast infection but it might be something else.

Try some of the over the counter treatments if your mom wont let you go to the doctor but if it contiues go to the doctor or the infection could get worse.

You need to see a dr to confirm that this is a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis (this kind of infection is what causes the smell).

The fact that you have been like this for months is very bothersome to me. Did you tell her that this has been bothering you for months?

Pls talk to a trusted adult friend, or other female family member or the school nurse.

You really need to go to the Doctor babes because that's not good and if indeed you have a yeast infection that could lead to alot more problems.

You need to see a doctor! Go to Walmart and buy Monistat or talk to the Pharmacy person for advice.
