someone already suggested allrecipes.com- i highly recommend that one. on my first search for a recipe, i put in the word "easy" like easy chicken, easy veggies or whatever.
also, if you have a bj's, costco, or sams club nearby- they always have great frozen stuff. i know bj's and costco are always giving samples during lunch time too. meatballs in a crockpot it yummy and pretty easy. if you dont want to do it with beef you could always use ground turkey. i fix mine with poultry seasoning, an egg, breadcrumbs, and VERY finely chopped onions.
this is not exactly fingerfood, but the stouffers lasagna with meat is absolutely delicious! it comes in party sizes for about $12 at the grocery store. can be served with the breadsticks in the tube/can. cut them in half, twist, & sprinkle with garlic salt- they are perfect.
good luck and take care.
the watermelon idea is cute too- would make a nice centerpiece!

I was going to suggest the Annabelle Karmel books too! My 6 month old has just started solids, and I am using her baby food book as a guide (along with my pediatricians recommendations). So far my little one is eating like a champ!

ive brought made from the freezer department, but u could make them, a skinless little hotdog wrapped in a square peice of puff pastry then baked, yummy, and here in australia we call small hotdogs , little boys, and your friend is having a little boy, perfect
chicken and corn quiches
a can of creamed corn and some small diced cooked chicken breast, and chicken stock cubes, mix and put small squares in a patty pan cake tin tray and make mini quiches
toothpick kebabs, put on tootthpicks, an olive, a cube of cheese, a peice of cucumber and a cherry tomato, or anything that will go on that u want
i love trying to make anything i can think up, its fun, good luck

I threw the baby shower for my best friend, and the most creative thing I did was a baby fruit salad. My husband and I hollowed out a watermelon and then cut it to be shaped as a baby carriage. Then filled it with the watermelon cut up and other fruit.

Very simple finger food (or stoner food) is best. Get some deli sliced ham, cream cheese, and dill pickles. Spread a little line of cream cheese on a slice of ham, put some pickle pieces on it, then roll it up. Yummy and easy.
