It is not an electromagnetic wave. It can not propagate in vacuum. It is mechanical in nature. It reqires material to move through by producing oscilation of molecules. In air it moves through sequence of copression & rarifaction.

Sound is not electromagnetic. It is a pressure wave traveling through matter. That 's why sound does not travel through deep space.

nope. its a mechanical wave just like air, sound and seismic. these waves are still governed by newtons laws and require a material medium
