use a bootable CD with a program on it called trinity rescue kit. you can download it for free and then you burn it on to a CD, put the CD in the drive reboot the PC and it will take over from there... all you have to do is follow the prompts...
here are the commands for it
1. type in win pass and hit enter
2. put a * to leave the password blank
3. then all you do is reboot and there will be no passwords
here's the link so you can download the ISO file to burn to CD

There a number of ways of getting to the files, but they are not easy to follow by some one who may not have good computer literacy or hardware skills. I suggest you find a friend who has some experience, or take the PC to a shop. Ask for a quote first.
There are ways of bypassing passwords in Windows and you can buy programs to do that. You can also try and modify the control.ini file, etc. But then it gets complicated.
P.S. If it's a Windows password, you can forget about the CMOS battery.

IIRC, there is evidently some kind of security loophole at one point during the boot-up procedure - a search on one of the internet search engines should give the exact details. It allows you access as an administrator, which then enables you to delete or change the password.

turn off your computing device for no less than 10 seconds then reboot and keep pressing F8 this would make it so which you will start up in secure mode. then bypass on your admin account and eliminate the password out of your different account.

Open the CPU cabinet. You will find a cell on the Mother board. Remove it once and replace it. You can now keep working.
