That is why business people are out to make $ out of women and children. They will tell you that the smaller the size, the tougher it is being manufactured...
Just like when we shop.. The more you buy, the cheaper it is.
Cheer up!

It is not in the amount of cloth that determine the price, it's about someone else is paying for it. In this case, most of the time will be the parents, uncles, aunties, etc. If kids were to pay for their own clothings, then it would be different.
Another thing is that parents, most of the time, are willing to pay the price just make their kids look good. So, buy as minimal as possible and wait for the big sale or any other sale to get the value for money.

Because many (especially new) parents are willing to pay for the best, it creates an unusually demand for this market (no, there is no actual baby boom!). It has also spilled into brand awareness that many young parents have. The excuse given are that the garments are smaller and harder to make, the material is different and more suited for babies, creativity costs has gone up, branded product etc. Bear with it or sew your own!

totally agree with you. you see, parents love to see their kids in pretty clothes, so the dealers/sellers knows this and that's when they mark-up the price cause they know there's where can make money. and parents i see love to also shop for branded kids clothes such as kiki lala, Disney, barney, anakku..all these are expensive. i saw once a plain dress with just a white lace at the sleeves and it cost around 49.90. i was shocked but it was the anakku brand...its not worth it..go to pasar malam and bargain and you can get 3 for 10.00...cause your baby will grow ..don't spend money on branded clothes for them, they are too small to even know the brand.

Baby market it always a good market and the price wont be cheap and most dealer wont willing to reduce to price due to high demand.
if the demand is low, i m sure the price will be cheaper but actual case there is a strong demand in the market

I always wonder. Don't forget the shoes. Branded shoes are even more expensive than branded adult shoes. And they won't be able to wear it for more than two months.

the reason baby/kid cloth more expensive than adult is they didn't know how to bargain the price as adult do.
same as tourist vs local situation.
this is really silly question anyway.. even dog can figure it out why.

Oh i agree with you. It is frustrating when you only need to use them for a short time as the baby grow so fast. Cant let them run around naked now cant we?
