Hey guys,
I have a Netgear 311 PCI Wireless adapter and a Belkin F5D7633-4 wireless modem router.

This is my current connection:

10 metre phone line running to the modem which is connected via ethernet cable to my computer.

What i am wanting to do is leave the modem in the kitchen connect that to the phone line.
And run the internet wirelessly through the PCI Adapter?

I have tried but the signal keeps dropping in and out and even when it's green lighted for 30 seconds i cant get on the net.

Any idea why ?

Test the wireless connection next to the router first with encryption off. If your connection fails, then there maybe a problem with either one of the pieces of hardware. If the connection holds, then there may be interference in the area, try to avoid placing the router near large electronic appliances, TVs, Microwaves, cordless phone, Halogen lamps, etc. You can also attempt to change the channel and, if the Belkin lets you, the power setting to get a stronger signal to the rest of your residence.

f the connection fails when you are close to the router then the problem may be with either the wireless card or the router itself.
