I am a pre-med full time A student and I have a nice body as everyone says. I started to believe this after the request I got from this lady who walked up to me and asked me if i was interested in becoming a model for sports' wear. so she made me feel much better about myself. However, in my famiy and culture, the idea of being a model is not very appreciated. Yet I really want to try it to see what it's like. My parents are strickly against it and disagree there's no way I can change their mind. My dad's final words about that was that he'll give more than the money i'll earn but it's not about money. I really want to try it and I don't think it can influence me in a negative way. I am 19 and I believe this is a great opportunity to become a model without paying any money for pointless pictures! What would you do if you were me? Pros and Cons please!

There's a lot of difference between a pre-med student and a model. Check out to see if the person is legitimate. Tend to believe like your Dad. Models are a dime a dozen and it appears you want a professionally rewarding career.

You are an adult and you have the right to make your own decisions, but you appear to be living in your parents house and you do have to follow their rules. That being said, make very, very sure that the lady that approached you is legitimate and not some fly by night person just wanting to take advantage of you. Make sure that she works for a legtimate modeling agency and you are not going to end up posing for porn magazines or porno web sites on the internet. That may be why mom and dad are very much against this, and I can't blame them. There are a lot of people out there that prey on impressionable people. If you want to become a model, I would forget this lady and go to a legtimate agency.

first check out the company that this woman is with, just to make sure you're not being scammed. Then check that there are no hidden costs in her offer. Then suggest a compromise to your dad that you will only do fully clothed shots and will only commit to say a 6 month contract (or whatever terms you think of) and see if he softens. Ultimately, you are a pre-med student and you have a great future ahead of you. Modelling seems glamourous but it's really just a job.

I feel like I'd be misleading you without having a look at your sexy body.
