I'm in a five-year old relationship and we have a four-year old kid. We aren't married and just recently, I realized that I don't want to marry him at all. He hit me once, which my daughter witnessed, and after that, things have never been the same. I just woke up one day realizing that I don't love him anymore. I am certain that I want out. But I'm afraid he might hit me again if I tell him that I'm breaking up with him. I feel trapped. Please help.

its good that you realise to leave an abusive realtionship. Before you break up with him you must find a safe place for your daughter in case he wanted to act violently to her. When you want to tell him you want out better do it in a public place where he won;t be able to do anything. Before that move all things from the house and after telling him you leaving ,leave the place immediately preferably with someone accompanying you and stay in place he doesn't know. If he threathen you report to the police. all the best!!

you need to live him very soon cos you cant be with someone you are scared of, the time you spend with the person does not mean any thing if you feel that you don't need him anymore just live . I know its a hard decision to take but you must put your happiness first .

You gotta have it said in front of a witness. He won't hit you. It becomes official that way. He'll be "member of community" instead of "private man" who hits his woman.
That works.
