There are still a lot of people out there, eating meat and having a good, healthy and long life ....
Being a vegetarian is not possible for everybody and I think pressuring s/b into it is not love ...
It should be important to you that he is healthy, and eating healthy is a part of it,
vegetables and cooked meals are important ... but you can not say (for example) fish is not healthy!
It is your choice to choose substitutes, his choice to eat the fish !
I had a friend who was vegetarian for 10 years ... explaining me all the reasons and good sides, which I respected, very much !
But she collapsed one day ... serious health problems ... started to eat meat again.
Today she says : "I was not meant to be a vegetarian !" and some studies say that some people (depending on blood type) really are not !
Addition : He agreed on at the beginning... that was stupid (sorry) of him ... it would have been smarter to give it a try for a month or so ... but there are really worse habits !!!

Hahahahahah! You're kidding right???? Meat is something I would never give up. It's good for you. If my partner became a vegitarian, I think I'd put meat in his food just because I'm a jerk like that. Hahahaha!!! Go eat a burger. Your vegitarian ways repulse me! It's just unnatural.

So let me get this right, just because you are on this "save the cuddly little calves" trip, he can't have a steak anymore? Forget it. If living in a meat-free relationship is that important to you, find a fellow rabbit-food muncher to share your life with. Your present spouse has the right to eat meat just like you have the right to reject it. Turning someone into something they don't want to be never works.

I love meat, most people do. If you don't want to eat meat, so be it. That means more for others. However, IMO, you're asking A LOT from the guy. What does he get in return for this?

OMG. That is pretty lame. If he loves you, takes care of you, treats you with respect, then you need to hold on to him for dear life and stop trying to change him. I suspect that you try to change him in other ways.
Eat your beans and carrots, and let him his steak and lambchops. You dont have to buy it, touch it, cook it if you are that against it, but dont take away HIS right to choose what to eat.

Honestly, I married into a Vegan family who Moo at me during christmas dinner. I think that he probably wants to change for you but when you have done something your entire life and you arn't just changing for yourself but to please someone else it is always harder.
Try finding things he might try and like, it may make the transition easier.
