The airlines with flights to the Philippines from NY are usually Northwest (you can fly them cabin if your pet is 10lbs or less) or EVA air. The other airlines will permit you to fly your pet in cargo.
I know a couple of people who have flown their pets from the US to the Phils. It's better to fly them in cabin because sometimes they do get traumatized in cargo with the constant whirring of the plane engines.
It's usually a 16 hour flight. Try getting one with a stopover and ask the airline in advance where you can take your pet so it can relieve itself.
Oh yeah, if flying in cabin, get a SHERPA bag. =P

From NY your going to spend about 36 hours traveling no matter what airline you choose. There's a good possibility the pet will be in quarantine after arrival. Unless you're going on air force 1 you might want to consider leaving your pet with someone till you get back.

I strongly do not recommend flying with any pet on a multi-leg (possibly multi-airline), 24+ hour, international journey.
Leave the pet and get a new one there.

Flying to Phili? I'm not sure why you would want to do that in the first place, especially with a pet.

i would not suggest to do that. it's very physically and mentally demanding for the dogs.
