I am a media & marketing student so I'm well aware that today advertising and hidden agendas usually run the show. But I need to be informed of the world's happenings w/o any prejudices. I am also from the San Francisco Bay Area so if its local its a bonus but not a requirement for journalistically-credible fair and ethical news. Any websites you can prove fit this description? Many thanks.

I agree with the first guy, Reuters is good. But I dont think that a objective, unbiased, impartial, non profit oriented new source exists. Every new source has some bias, even those crappy student papers have some bias

Reuters isn't bad. It is closer to the truth than most.
