me and my boyfriend have been talking about marriage, and I was wondering what some great wedding songs are...
I have two songs picked out already, they are "On your porch" by the Format, and "Stolen" by Dashboard...
any other good ideas??

I understand the urge to have the DJ play every one of your favorite songs at your reception. But realistically, if you want EVERYBODY at your reception to enjoy the music and wanna get up and dance, I'd suggest letting the DJ make most of the choices with the music line up.
Most DJs have done dozens and dozens of weddings and have a pretty good idea what songs will get the party jumping, and THATS what you really want in the end. Isn't it?
You can definately make a few requests here and there, but just keep in mind, nothing clears a dance floor faster than some rock song that no one over the age of 25 has ever heard of.
Good Luck!

Avoid all songs that involve group dancing! Nothing is more tiresome than a cliche at a wedding.
'The Flame' by Cheap Trick is good, as is 'Almost Unreal' by Roxette.
