I absolutely love Stargate SG-1 (especially the first 8 seasons), Firefly, Threshold, Point Pleasant (really wish that they would have finished those series - Threshold was awesome!!!), Heroes, Outer Limits etc. I also enjoyed the first season of Prison Break (not to fond of the second season though), Grey's Anatomy, Weeds, Farscape, Conan (animated series), The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin (my favourite show as a 5 year old - want to buy the DVD for rememberance sake) and a whole bunch more kiddies shows from the 80s and early 90s!

I have a few favorite television shows:
Twin Peaks - Lynch and Frost team up to make a murder mystery no one, especially not the future of television, would ever forget. Alright, fine. Nearly everyone who wasn't born in the 70's has forgotten. And, I didn't exactly remember it. But, I did discover it, and ever since it's been mine favorite corner of television. Soap opera meets hard detective story and you can't go wrong. It changed the face of television and showed a kind of quality that had not yet been seen. Love the characters. Love the strangeness. Love the series.
The Twilight Zone - The 60's classic standouts in my mind as haunting me as a child - and even still haunting me today. An odd and living form of narrative which, given its variety, has yet to be rivaled. It spoke not only into our fears of the unknown, but more importantly, it spoke to our insecurities as human beings. One of the greatest sources of popular social criticism.
Penn & Teller's Bullshit - Hilarious, challenging, brave, and bold. Magicians and stage performers have a little fun poking at absurdity and getting mad about things that matter. A great source to begin exploration of unpopular ideas - whether you share them or not.
House - Really it's the only modern drama I care about today, and the only Medical drama I ever truly enjoyed. Hugh Laurie really sealed the deal for me in all aspects, but the writing isn't awful. It's funny, smart, and sometimes controversial enough to make me smile. And, House actually got me interested in medicine.
The Simpsons - I grew up with Groening's crude cartoon family. And, I grew to love them. Of course the writing and ambition died soon after the 10th season (though it may have been resting on life support even then), but I still can not escape the nostalgia for the earlier seasons. Smart, meaningful, but always hilarious. Gave me another reason to look forward to Halloween each year.
