Your husband may be suffering from sleep apnea, loud snoring can be one of the symptoms. He may also stop breathing for a few seconds many times during the night and not even know it. He needs to see an Ear, Nose & Throat doctor ASAP! It's a very serious condition. Ex-NFL star Reggie White died from sleep apnea, so as I said, it's a very serious condition. My husband has sleep apnea and his doctor ordered a CPAP machine for him to sleep with every night. Your husband will wear a mask that's connected to the CPAP machine and air will be forced through his nose to keep his breathing passages open. It stops the snoring and your husband will be amazed by how much more restive his sleep is going to be. The added benefit is that you won't have to listen to his snoring anymore because both he and the machine will be quiet. Good luck!

Let me just say, join the club, aren't they a pest or what?? I have the same problem but what I do most of the time is just sleep in our sofa that we have in our bedroom. It does make him feel bad because I always end up sleeping out.
But one thing that you must know, when men snores, they are very tired. Yes every time he start snoring make sure that you turn him on his side and it will stop the snoring, second before he sleep make him put a strip on top of his nose. Or buy a nose spray that can him breath easily when he sleep. But the remedy that I have is I bought him this pillow from JC penny that help him breath at night.hope this help...

LOL funny. My husband snores too and I just think it is cute. He is the best husband in the WHOLE WORLD and if I have to put up with a little bit of snoring, then so be it. I suggest you realize all the good qualities your husband has and stop worrying about the snoring.

there are a couple of things to try first the breath right strips they work for some but not for others also most people snore when they are laying on their back so try having him sleep in a t-shirt with a pocket but have him put it on backwards with the pocket in the back and put a small ball in the pocket when he tries to lay on his back even in his sleep he will roll over off the ball.also it might be a sign of a larger problem adult sleep apnea where they stop breathing in their sleep for a few seconds then gasp for air, if there is a long pause followed by a sudden very loud snore then he needs to go to the doctor and have it checked good luck i understand trust me.

Ugghh, I have a snorer husband too. What currently works is if I go to sleep first (I have insomnia so this doesn't always work, though). Other things to do - I touch the side of his face as I lay there listening to him snore, and that tends to make him close his mouth. Urging him over on his side is the best, quietest thing, but he likes sleeping on his back.

Get some "Breathe Right" strips from the pharmacy. If that doesn't work, then he probably has sleep apnea which is a dangerous illness. If he looses his breath while snoring, get him to see a doctor as soon as possible. There are surgeries, and treatments for Sleep Apnea.

How long has you husband been doing snoring like this? He may need to go to a sleep clinic to find out if he has a condition called sleep apnea. Many people have it and don't know it.
