Well for starters, stop worrying about being worried. Breeeeeaaaaath.
It's ok, you'll eventually develope more confidence in yourself. Confidence though, does not mean 'perfectionisim'...something you seem to be struggling with. Over time you will learn how to better articulate your thoughts into words. But you need to relax, let go and breeeeeath. Next time someone asks you a question and you feel anxiety, simply say: "That's a great question, I'll get back to you after I've given myself sometime to think about it. I'll give you a shout later". There, no more stress. And sometimes, it's really ok to say "I don't know".
Let yourself off the hook.., and stop judging yourself so harshly. Don't worry, the words will come out fluently in due time. Consider this delay a 'buildin-up-steam' phase.

Well, in todays world and in some colleges there are ways to graduate in an area that you are not even good at. If you graduated in English, then you obviously had to do some of whats called free-writing. Perhaps you need to practice this some more. But before you sit down to free-write perhaps you might want to meditate and try get some of the negativity towards yourself out of your head. Stop believing that you are not capable of doing this. Make a written list of aspirations. Write down on paper every positive quality that you think you have... ONLY POSITIVE. go ahead put them on paper. then take this list and post it somewhere in your house where you will see it alot, maybe the bathroom mirror or even your refridgerator... that way you will stop for a moment to read it when you see it... even if its only once a day... This really helped me to start feeling better about myself. Once you start free-writing, set a timer for 5 or 10 minutes... and write. dont stop. it doesnt matter what you write because you are the only one who will read it. It doesnt matter if the sentences are not complete or if the spelling is wrong... its just an excersize and you are the only one who is going to benefit from it for now... Dont worry about it being perfect because it doesnt have to be right now... in fact it needs to be imperfect... do this every day for two weeks. Dont re-read them until after the two weeks are up. Then go back and see just how much you have improved... If you do this every day and make it a point to read your aspirations list at least once a day, I can almost guarantee that there will be at least a little improvement there... Nobody is perfect and you shouldnt try to be an exception. no one expects you to be, and if they do then they need help as well. Besides that when it comes to writing, different people have different views on how it should be done... My professor gave me an A plus on my first college essay, but when i went for a second opinion from another english professor, he only gave me a C. But I thought it was great and I was proud of it.... you should be too... more belief in yourself and less trying to be perfect would be a great start... Good luck.

sounds like you need some self confidence. you are second guessing yourself. You need to start believing in yourself and go with your first instinct. Make a rule that you can only edit something once. and that is to just check for spelling or grammar errors. Do it just once tomorrow. the next day. try it 2 times. the more times you do it without editing yourself the easier it will get. You might also want to enroll in a class that will help you strengthen your confidence in yourself. a speech class would do this or debating arena. something along those lines.

It shows your lack of confidence and will power. You should try to improve your knowledge base by reading books/magazines, surfing Internet etc. Every day before going to bed , try to think of a question which you want to solve ,Analise it and try to gather points in favour of it. You can also try to get rid of your speech deficiency by standing in front of a mirror and speak out all the things you want to tell. Your problem of choosing one out of many requires your confidence building, what ever you say is final and no body is there to question you on this. Therefore,be bold, confident and strong to face the situation

Lack of self confidence. Please adopt such a behavior that you come out of your shell. Keep confidence to the effect that what qualities and properties you want to possess are already with you and you want to enhance these qualities.
Some times we say "What people will say". It is our own thinking and people have no time to think. They say nothing.
You can answer the questions if you reply the truth. Tell a truth in your answers and you find yourself more and more confidence. Be bold and frank enough.

This sounds like a vitamin/ mineral and hydration deficiency. I was put on prescription suppliments for 6 months in high-school for something very similar. Also, I was severely anemic.

it could be that your very opinionated and feel like you can't fully express yourself without dozens of attempts and more than one answer. i feel ya, i'm like that at times too. just go with what flows, what comes naturally, that should work best!
