how can you deter moles?

Question

I have many moles on my patio area and around my mobile home and need to move them on and not to come back, I have tried those wind mill things, and have brought something that vibrates and set off a high pitch sound every few mins, but lost it and I dont want to spend another £25 if there is something better out there just now.. A SHOT GUN IS NOT AN OPTION AS I'M NOT ALLOWED TO CREATE A SWIMMING POOL HOLE ON THE LAND.

I got two things: the first is easier.
Just dig a beer-bottle halfway in a fresh molehill. The wind-made quiet whizz is irritating for the moles.

The second: we don't have moles since we got some plant in our garden. It 's called Gopher plant, Myrtle Spurge, Mole plant, Mole weed, Wild Caper, Caper bush, Wolfe milk etc., the official name Euphorbia lathyris.
Although it contains milky juice which is more or less acrid and irritating to the skin so if you have small kids it should be avoided.
Otherwise definitely helps, moles hate it.

Some says that Dwarf Elder (Sambucus ebulus) can be useful either. You could make herb-tea with this plant by all means :)

hmmmmm seem to remember a comedian had this problem ahh yes that's it Jasper Carrot did, why not ring him and get his advice. On a more serious note though moles can be a real big problem, I think to be on th safe side & not as others have suggested create a swimming pool hole in your garden, go along to your local garden centre & seek advice from an expert there, don't let them sell you all sorts of gimmicky devices, tell them straight you want simple & inexpensive. Good luck. Last resort is a spade, a fishing rod, a crate & an airline ticket to send the buggers to the desert when ya caught them all.

Moles eat grubs. Kill the grubs and the moles will go elsewhere for food. Ortho makes some grub killer that can be applied topically to the lawn.

This may sound silly, but I've heard that you can put a stick of double mint chewing gum in the holes and that keeps them from comming up.

Set fire to your patio. It gets rid of mole and annoying neighbors

Try your local pest control, who will kill the little darlings, result a nice pair of mole skin trousers.

TRY GETTING HOLD OF SOME EUCALIPTUS BRANCHES AND WRAP THEM AROUND SOME ROSE STEMS THAT SHOULD DO THE TRICK
