I just found out by accident. Type a letter into Google and if you have used it before there will be a list of searches you have done previously in a drop down menu. I cleared the history in my Firefox but that did not clear Google.

Does anyone know how to clear the Google search history?

Yahoo seems to have the same feature. How do I clear that?

It isnt Yahoo or Google it is your browser.

If you are talking about on googles homepage then go to tools, internet options, then the content tab, look down to autocomplete and thit the "settings" button beside it. Take all the ticks out the boxes and it should be sorted. You will need to go to tools again and "delete browsing history" to take away any old entries. It wont store then again but start using googles main homepage search from and not your address bar or it will continue to save them.

If you are using google toolbar then go to settings ont he google toolbar and then options, on the features tab hit the "search box settings" button and take the tick out of "suggest popular searches" and "suggest searches from my history" this should fix it.
