Not by a long shot !!
There are clues SO obvious that you literally have to ignore them to miss them !! There are volumns filled with accounts from ancient times of these encounters---from every single culture known to man !! Scientists themselves have run into major roadblocks finding reasonings behind tons of situations and circumstances within human history that just
have no other explaination--- and they just ain't going there
because to do so would be automatic admission that they themselves aren't the top of the food chain !!!!
And, I might point out here to the previous poster---- Area 51 is now a storage facility for high level research documents and is no longer in service as the stealth black ops center of activity----that has long been moved to much farther north into a region that has no access at all by any other means than by air ---- no way to even get near enough to the place to take telephoto shots--- and it has a total ban of overflights of any kind and a blackout in place against all satellite probes !!!

I would have to say that we are not alone, although I know of no proof other than history: and just because humans can only understand humans doesn't mean we are the only intelligent species on earth either! Don't mistake the drive to make our place conform to us, rather than the opposite for the only sign of intelligence. Monkeys have feelings too. Dolphins definitely communicate with each other over very long distance.
As for history, every race/region on earth has stories about encounters with other types of beings, be they angels, or genii, or whatever. Who is to say that elves, dwarves etc. didn't exist in ancient times, and then were wiped out by humans, or perhaps they are still living somewhere, hidden because of near extinction. We don't have a good track record with letting competition live!
Also, in some mythologies, dragons are intelligent creatures. In the bible it says "he spake like a dragon." I grew up believing that dragons were a myth, but when I read the bible, in the book of Job, when God is replying, he says "where were you when I was creating" and lists a bunch of stuff, including a 200 cubit, scaled, fire-breathing creature.
Interesting news about the moving of area 51 (above). I wouldn't doubt that if there was an outer-space alien landing here our govt would be keeping it under wraps.

I don't know whether we are alone. But assuming that there are extraterrestrials "due to the size of the universe", is not proof. Fuzzy photos are not proof. Thinking that "there is a secret area where alien craft are kept" is not proof. Being absolutely sure that aliens exist, is not proof.
Aliens landing in the middle of a major city in large ships where I can go and see them myself is proof. David Attenborough doing a documentary and presenting them on the BBC is proof.
Frankly, in this world of computer generated images, I won't believe anything else.
Whether there is really no proof, or there is proof but it is suppressed, is a moot point.
There is no real proof of extraterrestrials.

No we do not have proof and so far mankind has only managed to search about one grain of sands worth of space out of all the beaches in the worlds worth so to say that we are alone is pretty unlikley but the insumountable odds about life coming into being and over time forming humans and out of all the 900billion people in the world two of them getting together and forming you there has got to be even one other place out there that is able to support life

In our galaxy there are more than 100,000,000,000 stars and there's probably 100,000,000,000 galaxies each with hundreds of billions of stars. The sun can't be the only star with planets that have life. Since 1995 other stars with planets have been discovered, but still no sign of life on them and when I say life, I don't mean just intelligent life, even microorganisms. So we can't be alone.

If you worship a higher being/Deity of any kind, then you would know we are not alone. I've never seen a UFO or alien, 'cept the illegals, but I do know we are not alone.

depends if you believe in area 51...i find it hard to believe we are the only living species on the planet, i quite like the idea of a parallel universe.
