The earth is so large that it can appear flat at times. Everything on earth is drawn toward the centre by gravity but according to Einstein even that has its' moments when light, gravity and time are warped to some extent. So can you have a flat surface on earth, yes you definitely can. Columbus however proved the earth round because as his ship got further and further from port the people on shore began to see less and less of it, not only was it getting smaller as it got further and further from shore but it appeared to be lower in the horizon, this of course was the curvature of the earth. But for all of us standing on a relatively flat surface the earth is flat until we go far enough away from a specific point then the curvature theory begins to happen. Now if you think your college is boring that may be another type of flat that is quite another question.

Uhh..the earth is a flat circle ONLY on a map. Actually, now, they even have those maps where it takes it and speads it out in "sections" so that it's not a flat circle....so yeah, your college sucks.

The problem is clearly global warming.

The "greenhouse" gases are flattening the planet. Eventually we will be living on a tortilla.
