That should not be your major target to be on YA. You should be here top help people, instead of just aiming for the best percentage or whatever.
However, if you really want it that bad, I suggest you only give an answer when you are really sure of it; don't just answer for the sake of doing so. Also, always give details, descriptions of your sources, maybe even offer a few tips, but never bore the readers.

Avoid one word answers or answers that reflect anger, hostility, or extreme bias.
Give well supported, carefully thought out answers, and write in a lucid, grammatically correct manner so that people can understand the answer you give.
Break up long answers by using very short paragraphs. Running all of your sentences into one long paragraph is difficult to read.
Use the spell checker.
Use proper punctuation and capitalization. If your answers are easy to read and understand and well supported, you will get a lot more "best answers."

You have to give a very thorough answer and speak from the heart. Sometimes it's luck of the draw, and people select really lame answers as the best. Hang in there. You'll get more.... :)

Its because out of all the questions you have answerd, you have only gotten 1% of them as best. Just have a cray day with it and answer as many as possible, youre bound to get at least 2.

For technical questions, you have to have a knowledgable answer, pithched at the level of understanding of the questioner.
for opinion questions, you have to agree with the prejudice/bias of the questioner - and make it sound like you're saying something new.
if the questioner doesnt pick a best answer, go and vote for your answer as the best (and get your friends to do the same)
:-)

actually answer a best answer. people that go around saying answers like "yes" or "no" or some short answer that everyone else is usually doesn't stand out enough to deserve a best answer... answer questions that you really like, and don't do what everybody else is answering. oh, and never be rude. you'll never get best answers being mean. (: best wishes! â¥

Try actually giving a good answer, instead of just typing whatever comes into your mind at the time
