They did this to me on my other account. Said I was in violation of the terms of service, but didn't tell me specifically WHAT that violation was, and that "they" just "decided" that my account was not up for reinstatement. So, I lost my email address, ALL my emails, my messenger list and all my contacts, and my level on yahoo answers. Do you think this is fair?

Oh..so for those of you who DO think it's fair, then it's ok for me to report you for ANY question that *I* personally may have a problem with, thus making MY right to be offended more important than YOUR right to free speech? This is where Yahoo really needs to figure some stuff out...most of my questions that were "offensive" were in regards to religion, politics, or gay and lesbian issues.

i think this is NOT fair at ALL.. they should at least give you a warning that they will do that so you have time to email your contacts.. that is absurd really and if they do continue like that then we should all back up our email addresses in case they suspend us...totally rediculous

without a doubt you must have really been bad and now want to cry about it.
Follow the Guidelines and that won't happen again.
If you feel you are in fact innocent, contact Customer Care and discuss the issue with them.

By the way, what user name was deleted? Edit your question.

Whether you think the deletion is fair or not is irrelevent, when you set up your account you had to agree to the terms & conditions, and one of those is that they can delete your entire account if you abuse one section of Yahoo

No they don't! Goodness. I'd be devastated if that happened to me. If what you apparently did was that bad they should just ban you from Yahoo! answers, not completely wipe out your e-mail.

no, they should have warned you before they do that and in my opinion, sometimes you get carried away when you answer questions esp. political and religious they should have a little consideration on these matters.
