It would depend if they were a threat to themselves and others. Should get help either way.

saddly I have to say yes. we've adjusted our civilization to lower our mental standards to not make the iq challanged not feel so bad.

edit answer: sorry. I'm iq challeneged cause I'm drunk. I kept reading and relized I was wrong in my original answer

Only thing I can say is that I dont trust people getting paid around up to 12 an hour to be "qualified" to care for some one else other than themselves.
As long as the "challanged" can comprehend and show a drive for self empowerment they deserve the right to live a "FREE" life.

Yes, I guess they're presence should give us a sense of gratitude for not being intellectually disabled. Also a sense of compassion for the less fortunate.

I believe they should have their own community, in a community that is designed for their better livings!
