My feelings on this issue are very strong and haven't changed over many years. I feel that when a culprit is convicted on tangible evidence he should be executed in a timely manner. To allow such vermin to survive is an insult to the victim's family and an affront to society. Should our tax dollars provide for the maintenance of someone who has betrayed the trust of others? And, no, I do not consider this attitude to be barbaric. If a society is not prepared to cure its ills, then that society is doomed to perish.

The death penalty is wrong. People say murder is wrong but the death penalty is murder. How does anyone believe they can take someone Else's life? The government does not allow terminally ill patients in unimaginable pain to end their life a few months early. Read about euthanasia in Oregon and think how can one be legal and the other not. people even believe they are saving money by killing people rather than imprisoning them for life, but look it up the death penalty cost more then life in prison.

Solitary confinement for something of their lives. This extremely subjective. Best is to impose some other penalty. Because, with death there's no turn back later.

I'm for it. If someone takes anothers life out of some selfish reason, or no reason at all, then they should have their lives taken also. We need a penalty that deters these incidents as much as possible.

Hi I think the death penalty is wrong because it is not for us to judge. I know that it is wrong for people to kill other people sure they need to be pushined but it's not up to us to decide whether a life should be spared or taken .God will do the punishing not us human beings , people who commit horrific crimes should be locked away for life and not killed. so that they can learn to repent for their sins

From a moral standpoint, it's state-sanctioned murder and an act of emotional revenge rather than legal justice. Most postmodern and developed nations have done away with this form of punishment.

From a practical standpoint, it's much cheaper on average to pay for a criminal's upkeep in prison for a life sentence than it is to have him or her executed. It's also kind of difficult to appeal a dead guy's case when new evidence arises.

Simple answer: No sir, I don't like it.

I think legal killing is wrong. It's a far cry from right but I believe more in vigilantism than LEGAL killing.
