Long as you use match light charcoal you will be okay because FAA regulations prohibit lighter fluid and deep fryers

Sure but you will only be allowed to light it up out on the wing of the plane between altitudes of 20 and 25 thousand feet. Also if you want a male flight attendant to ask you back to his place, you might want to consider replacing pork chops with shanks of marinated beef.
In the 80s they used to allow me to bring a Zamboni aboard to polish my toenails. Savor your in-flight grilling while you still can.

I prefer a Thermos of hot noodle soup and one of those flimsy Styrofoam bowls in which to pour it. Also, you can eat hot noodle soup with a spork.
This works especially well on a crowded red eye flight which is expected to encounter plenty of turbulence. If hot noodle soup is not to your taste, you could also bring along McDonald's coffee (kept at the same temperature in which they serve it), Chilli's baby back ribs (sometimes they have a takeout special 3 lbs of ribs w/extra sauce), chicken wings, chilli con carne, spaghetti, or sloppy joes.
