Not my choice for a cool name I like xavier but I'm not sure about maliki.

Xavier is really really cool but Maliki is lame
try Malik, at least it means something good in Arabic.

Xavier's alright, nor sure about Maliki (is it pronouced like the bible version? or a different pronunciation?) Xavier is becoming a popular name...my friend has a boy named Charles Xavier and they call him Xavier. All in all, you have to like the name...and be able to live with it for the rest of his life! Good luck! (I am prego and am naming our son Jacob...traditional and popular, I know, but a good solid bible name...even though it means cheater...it also means God Protects) Good luck!!

do you want malichi, or maliki? depending upon the provenance, and pronounciation you're after, I think my spelling is the Galic version.
And if that's the way you want it pronounced, it might go better with xavier. Don't think the k and x so close to one another work...although i may have misnterpreted the pronounciation.
i do like the name though, just make sure you say it out loud with the surname to be sure it all works!

Maliki reminds me of the evil cult of kids in Children of the Corn. No good.... Xavier is good. I like Xander, too (Short for Alexander)

Is Maliki pronounced ma-LEEK-e or MAL-a-kai? If it's the latter I prefer the spelling Malachi and I think Malachi Xavier is a nice name.
