Probably not, she was pretty messed up as well - addictions to prescription drugs, affairs with married men, bulimia...
I don't know that there are too many famous people who are great role models. I would say Oprah, but she's constantly yo-yoing with her weight too. Teenagers just need to emanate characteristics from all the people they admire - Beyonce's attitude toward her body, Oprah's spirit, Cameron Diaz' attitude to life - I reckon that's be a good combination.

I get what you mean, but I don't think Marilyn Monroe would be a good role model. She had a lot wrong with her life. They definitely need someone normal sized to look up to. I just think it should be someone that has a good image for them to respect as well.

Heaven's no she was more messed up in the head than Charles Manson. She was just ths 50's version of the model anyways. I always figured be the best me I can because nobody pulls it off as well as i can.

well she was quite promiscuous if you know what I mean ... however there are many role models today for girls that have curves, such as J.Lo...I think this pressure to be skinny comes from the boys and their talk of trying to find "hot skinny girls"

Definitely, body image wise. Not so much on her personal life, but then again she was pretty tame compared to the Paris's of the world today!
