Aloha from Down Unda!

Opps...you didn't mean DVD discs? I was gonna recommend Kylie Minogue's 'Ultimate Kylie' & Eagles 'When Hell Freezes Over' discs!

You meant "Recorder"!
In that case, due to the huge expense for the machine & the inability to 'burn' pre-recorded DVDs due to the extensive copyright laws, there's very limited knowledge from me! All I know is that I might trust names like Panasonic, Teac, LG, Sharp, even Sony & Hitachi & the rest of the 'big name' brands.

[No wonder there's so few answers here!]

Best wishes ~

Best can be viewed in long term storage reliability , or best as in most compatible on various DVD players and PC drives. Trial and error will give you the answer to the latter.
As far as brands go , I only use TDK or Verbatim now , used to use Imation , Princo and Ritek but found a few failures over a couple of years ( not huge but annoying none the less ).
I suggest you try several brands and select which works best for your own purposes.

I think the below link will help you out. Personally, I stick with Verbatim DVD's, but peruse the list at the below link and make your own choice. Hope this helps.
