I take good notes in class, then to study I make questions and answers from my notes and from the textbook. I find that this method is really useful for most subjects. Most people are too lazy to do this, but it doesn't take that long and I find it a lot more effective and educational. It helps me learn, and it also helps because I can keep track of which questions I got right/wrong and therefore what I need to improve on.
This method works well for me, but depending on the subject it might not be so fitting. For example, in most math subjects (ie calculus, linear algebra, etc.) I do the questions in the assignments/textbooks to learn, but it's very useful for subjects where most of what you need to do is recall information or formulas (history, geography, economics, physics, whatever). I'm not guaranteeing that it'll work for you, but it works for me so give it a shot.

I heard that if you concentrate more with the left side of your brain then you remember more, so look at your notes more with your right eye (your brain works in 2 halves, the right side controls the left body parts and the left side controls your right body parts) it might help. Also, when I need to remember something in the morning i repeat what it is to myself before I go to sleep the night before then I remember it the next morning. Ask friends and family to test you after revising and revise in 1 different topic per day so your brain doesn't get all muddled up. And don't panic on the day of the exam(s) because then you'll forget everything and to not panic just relax and breathe in and out slowly and tell yourself you worked hard to get a good mark and now you're going to get it, and whats the worst that could happen? You might fail BUT you can always take a retest and get a better mark. Good luck and don't worry! Rock on!

This is fact but widely unknown or ignored.
If you study (along with all the stuff about about eating and sleeping right, and flashcards etc.) you need to do 40mins. on / 10mins. off / 40 on / 20 off / 40 on / 30 off / 40 on. Then take a good long break, do something else, and start the sequence again.
Your brain has a depreciating return when it comes to storage, if you cram in too much for too long it's counterproductive.
Pulling all-nighters might work on the day before, only because it's better than nothing.
Spreading it out over a few days, with other activities, rest and relaxation (in conjunction with memory prompts like flashcards and mnemonics) is far, far better.

I don't know if my way of studying will help you as well to succeed but I can share you anyway my way of studying which I found very helpful for me.
First and foremost make sure that you're out of stress problem, that you don't think negative while studying, help your self become motivated by anything and without being disturbed by the sorroundings.Set a goal positively.
If its about memorizing topic for a certain subject, make sure that you understand the topic so you don't need to memorize it.When Enumeration type, try to alphabetically mark the point in order for you to remember it,and when it's number that you need to remember, try to connect it with your friends, relatives and families' birthdays so you'll surely remember the number you would like to memorize.I hope this will help you a little if not a lot....Good Luck !!!

Take a ball, preferably a tennis ball or something small like that. Then, throw the bal against a wall (or if you prefer, kick it, hit it, bounce it, shoot it, do whatever you want with it) while you repeat the fact out loud.
Everytime you say something wrong (without looking), you start again.
It's been proven that by getting as many of your senses involved as you possibly can, you learn faster and more accurately. So use lots of colours with your notes (sight), and say the notes out loud (hearing) while feeling the ball in your hands (touch). If you do this outside, you have the added benefit of smell. And the repition helps a bit too!
