Because women are not treated equally. If you compare success and average salaries of men and women in all different fields, you will find that men almost always make more money than women, even in positions (such as waitressing or nursing) where there are far more women than men. If everything was equal, men would not dominate every single field.

Men are human species Maximum Earning Number on this world. Physically strong and are not bound by any burdens of bringing up children like Women. A woman rather is centred in the family and symbolic for patience and there is no life or flow of human species without the help of woman. Hence, Man always with his strength of physique and nature of earning maximum controls the desires of women and whether is is right or wrong impose his thought force on the women by all means. Women are always supported either by husband, father, son, uncle or friend. A woman alone cannot live in this society without second support. All these things are coming from time immemorial. Hence men top in this world.

I'm assuming what you're asking is why men, not women, tend to be in the dominant, authoritative positions. It's because of human nature. Human brains are programmed to respect big, strong people, and men, in general, are bigger and stronger than women. What's more is men are much more likely to have authoritative minds than women, thus aquiring leadership, and a leader position as well. Pretty simple, really.
