I am making a time sheet for work, so i make sure they are not shorting me on money like some others at work, and i need some formulas that might help total the total amount time worked for every day... for example, Tuesday: time in: 11 pm, break 1: 1:30 am to 1:45 am, etc. I have 2 breaks and 1 lunch and i need to log what time in and out, so i can see total hours, minutes for the day. Anyone able to help!?

The best thing I can recommend is going to Microsoft's site and get one of the free Templates there are some good ones
for time sheets that already have the formula's built in them.
Here is the link to the templates.

Hi tausha87,

Do you see the FX, insert function right beside the Green Tick?

That is to insert the formulas (please pardon if you already know):

Make sure the Hours are in 24 hours format:
hh:mm

then

Do it like this in the columns:

Row A Time Out:
Row B Time In:
Row C Breaks:
Row D Total hours

(If there are more breaks, just add more rows, just make sure total hours is in the last row)

Highlight the three boxes vertically down and in the total hours box, insert the formula: In this example:

Row A - Row B - Row C

And the answer will be in Row D: Total Hours Row.

If you want to count how much you are paid, just add another Row after the "Total hours" Row and put "Salary Earned" and in the formula box, put "Row D * N" where N is the hourly wages.

I tried it on excel before posting this, Hope this helps!
