I think it is up to the individual to take their chances if that's what they feel they want to do.

I have silicon,,, and have had them for quite some time. There has been absolutely NO problems, and I don't regret ever getting them. ALL breast implants have risks of capsular constracture, or deflation. Any plastic Surgeon will advise women of every singe risk involved with most implants. STILL most women I know choose silicon. Their are less horror stories than you think. It is more dangerous to cross your street than get silicon implants.
On another note, I love how most of these people who answered have no idea what it is like to live you entire life looking like a little boy. Having absolutely NO breast tissue whatsoever. Having 2 little boys and at the age of 26 being told by other people what a discrase I was being so young with kids. Having old women attack me in the grocery store because they think I am 12 with kids. REALLY!! Until you walk a mile in someone's shoes PLEASE do not judge things you don't know. I have been married to my best friend and love of my life since I graduated High School. I did not get mine to attract the opposite sex. I didn't get Pam Anderson breasts either, I got them to look like an adult, and to feel like an adult. You people have nothing better to do than JUDGE others. What did Jesus say?/? "Let he without sin cast the 1st stone"

Well, cohesive silicone gel implants have been introduced now. These are considered much safer than regular silicone as if they rupture, the silicone gel is semi-solid like a gummy bear consistency and will not leak or migrate into the surrounding tisses. These newer silicone implants have a proven track record in Europe and the UK.

I really am against silicone implants. I don't think there is anything that it can contribute to the women. It's as if you fall into a trap of playing into someone else's fantasy. But, if you feel good about it, by all means. But, I don't want to have s*x with someone and worry if I rupture something.

Hi,
I feel the use of these implants should not be endorsed or encouraged.
The female form (in whatever its dimensions) is a wonderful thing and most REAL men do NOT have a fixation on breast size. In fact many, myself included, find the unnatural appearance of size enhanced breasts somewhat unattractive, certainly not as attractive as natural breasts.
I feel the use of such implants should be reserved for those unfortunate women who, for example, have needed breast removal because of disease (Cancer etc.) as I can well understand the need to appear 'normal' again.
Surgical enhancement (despite its widespread use and acceptance) does NOT make women appear 'better' to a man and the amount of money spent and the pain and suffering that many women go through to obtain these artificial globes of bounceless flesh is obscene.
The fixation on breast size I do not believe comes from men, but from the perception by women that big breasts are what men want. Honestly, ladies, we don't!
Many women are all too eager to attempt to impress us with their breast size. Just yesterday I heard some young girls talking about their breasts to some young men (in Spanish) One was claiming a huge dimension, when it was all too obvious that, although the dimension was real, the true fact was that most of it was fat on her back! Her actual breasts were no larger than those of her companions. (and had no need to be)
No...avoid all the possible disfigurement and pain, ladies, and be yourselves.
Cheers,
BobSpain (a mere man!)

The FDA is run by idiots. They took them off because they can give women cancer and cause the women to get an infection or die. They shouldn't be allowed back on the market.

Silicon implants!!!!!!! It's just a silly con.
No woman should feel such low self esteem as to mutilate herself in such a way!
As Patsy from 'Ab Fab' says... after women with implants rot in the ground, all that will be left is the pair of ....(para)

After hundreds of women settled for millions of dollars because of leaks............go figure!
In my opinion, if women have to resort to breast augmentation, they would be much safer with saline.
