All of my five labours have been quick but the third and fourth were extremely fast. With the third one I went to the loo and got a sort of pain then had another one about 30 seconds later, had another pain which I then realised was a contraction and I pushed. The baby was born with me on the loo and no ambulance or midwife etc there (from start to finish about 4 mins). The fourth labor was even quicker, got up in the night to go to the loo and had the strongest urge to push, I did and out she came, again on my own with no help(less than a minute).

Any kind of braxton hicks are going to dilate your cervix at a certain stage .With my first son I had just low period pains not exactly regularly ,called the midwife, she came, could see I wasn't in pain ,she left with a confident 'you 'll be hours yet ! Call me when it gets more intense !!!" drove off and then the urge to push came upon me !!! My husband called her house and she had not made it back to her house even !! 10 minute drive He was born happily when she arrived 15 mins later !!
You will be fine ... go for long walks enjoy some time for yourself and your partner .Babies are much more easily transported within a tummy!!! Its inevitable that your baby will be born.. they are just choosing their perfect birthday!

Actually my mom was like that. When she had my sister she got up in the morning, had breakfast, was "puttering" in the kitchen and then turned around and told my dad to take her to hospital. Within 15 minutes of her arriaval at hospital my sister was greeting the world
