Have an idea, create a website on that idea, get lots of people go to that website, have your website bought by microsoft, google or yahoo, settle back and enjoy.
That's what the owners of YouTube, and numerous others have done. It worked for them, it should work for you...
Now, what was that Idea I was working on again...

The Lottery if you are lucky enough to win but that is a very very long shot. Or you have to be born into it but from this question I guess that you were not. The best thing that you can do is WORK.
And when I say work I don't just mean has in a job but also at getting your money and keeping your money. There are a lot more Millionaires out there than most people know and the way that these people got that way is by living in or below their means. I am saying that just because you have money you have to go out and spend it that is how you end up broke.
Plus I believe that people that had to work hard for their will work hard at money keeping it and that is why so many Lottery winners and overnight celebs end up broke.
These does not mean that you have to Scrooge your way though life and can not spend any money, it just means that you buy what you need first, than SOME of what you want and save as much as possible. Not buy what you want and what you friend wants and what you don't know what it is but it looked cool on Paris Hilton, and you don't need 3 cars in the same make and model but different colors.

If it were easy we all would have done it long ago and there would be no money left for you anyway; but since it isn't easy, you have to be so original and hardworking that most people cannot qualify.
Illegal ventures often getting rich quick, what you get is a stay at the expense of the government, usually; and a ruined life when you are released.
How about an education, a beginning level job, and working hard? (gasp) That's how most people get along in life.
