I am 35w5d weeks pregnant..Yesterday i had pain starts from the top of my stomach and moves around til the bottom and them moves to my lower back...It started anout 9:55 pm and continued until 11:00 pm. , I tried to change positions but nothing!.Then it stopped until today morning at 7:00 am it started again but not as yesterday..Something like little period pain...Now its 10:30 am and the pain is much more...the morning..and it looks like period cramps...and little pain in my back...
Well , Is that normal? are these braxton hicks or maybe signs that i will go into labor soon? Has anyone encountered such pains?
Note that i went on 34w3d to hospital and there were a lot of irregular high intesity contactions with a high fetal heart rate , and the dr. requested bed rest..But when i went on 35w2d , everything show normal and no high intesting contractions as be4.

without being able to personally go through what u are experiencing, it's really difficult to make a decision on this one. it could be braxton hicks, but personally, i'd be getting it checked out at the doctors / hospital if i were u, particularly considering what u mentioned about week 34. good luck. i hope it all goes well. at least u are nearly full term, so there shouldn't be many complications even if u were to go into labour this early on.

funny, I just posted a similar question. I"m 36 weeks pregnant today and baby dropped last week as well. I had contractions for 6 hours two days ago, then none the following day and now tonight I've been having them regularly in 10 minute intervals that last at least a minute long. I called my o.b. and he said that if i went to the hospital, they would more than likely send me home because its too early since my due date is april 9th.. I just wonder how accurate they really are with the due date, because from what I read in the books and on the pregnancy websites is that what I am feeling is true labor. I guess we will see, nobody has answered my question so far. I know its good to listen to my doctor I just question if this baby is coming way sooner than my due date.

It sounds like you could be having contractions - I would go to the hospital today with my bag packed if I were you! They may well decide to admit you for a day or two, to monitor the contractions and baby. You may well be in labour already - it sounds like the contractions are beginning to become established. Go get checked!
Best of luck, I hope all goes well.

Call your midwife to discuss this. I had similar pains after having sex with my partner late in pregnancy but they didn't go away then come back. If you have had previous "complications" it is always best to discuss any problems with a midwife of doctor. So go get on the phone if only to put your mind at rest!

Good luck with your soon to be new arrival!

You should definitely call the maternity ward of your hospital and talk to them about it. They will be able to tell you whether to go in or not. Sounds like you could be coming a bit early.

it could be braxton hicks, could be gas, it could be the increasing weight of the baby, the baby could be in the "dropped" position causing your bones to separate to prepare for birth. if the pain is so bad you cant hear yourself think, its probably labor.
