I am a quite sociable person. When others approach and interact with me, I feel allright, and I have the right responses and act naturally. But when I have to have the initiative, to approach someone, whether it's a girl, or a person from whom I have to obtain something, then at the beginning I have very strong emotions. Sometimes, I get over them, but with a huge effort. I am communicative, but I have problems in taking the initiative to communicate with others. Can you tell me how can I get rid of this emotion from the beginning? Thank you.

don't be shy. it's a natural thing.
to remove this hesitation think the person in front of you is same as you are. he is equal to your ability. don't think he is superior. if you will not face the wind how can you say how fast it was. so go there and talk like a bold man. i'am sure this will work out.

for me nervousness results from me caring what others think, if you can honestly not care what others think, you won't get nervous. (I can speak in front of a large crowd of strangers effortlessly, but when I speak in front of a large crowd of people I know, I get a little stage fright)

The more you do it the easier it will become. Take deep breaths and even though you feel nervous, don't show it.
Have confidence in yourself.
