Me and my boyfriend were fooling around some day late January... we didn't have actual sex that day, but we did do manual and oral. I got my period around a week after that, and it was completely normal. This month, my period is 10 days late. I have no signs of pregnancy (or so I think?) and my periods are normally regular give or take a couple of days each time. I'm not on birth control of any kind (though when we usually have sex we use condoms.) Jesus I'm scared. I know this isn't the greatest place for personal advice, and I should probably acquire a pregnancy test in the next few days, but to put my mind at rest is it possible for me to be pregnant?

Oh, and I haven't done a single thing since January. I have a really strict mother in terms of boys, etc, so my boyfriend and I have to be cautious of that fact and don't see each other outside of school that often. Also, it's basically an impossibility for me to get on birth control, due to things like age, parents, where I live, etc. So we usually make do with condoms every time we get to meet up. Which still freak me out in terms of effectiveness but it's all we can do right now.

Thank you for the answers so far!

Thank you guys (3 so far) so, so much. I've become practically obsessive about this whole thing, and honestly, somehow it just really helps to be reading other people's opinions on it. Nothing more to say other than that really; I'm just feeling really grateful right now. And to those reading who haven't responded but can offer something to say, please do so! I would appreciate anything. Thank you all so much again.

There is a very very low chance that you are pregnant Since you got your period last month. Our bodies do some funny things sometimes. You could be late due to stress or change in hormones. I know what your going through though. From the minute you wake up til the time you go to bed thats all your thinking about. Is there a Planned Parenthood you could get to? It's free and your parents will never have to find out.

If you have been having sex since the episode in January then there is a possibility you are pregnant, it is unusual to be that late for no reason. Sometimes you can take pills, and everyone wear all the right equipment and still one of those little blighters get through! Try not to worry too much, there are worse things than a baby.
You should perhaps pop to the shop and get a pregnancy test as soon as possible, if you are pregnant it will show up whichever urine you use as the hormone will be strong enough by now.
Good luck.

It seems unlikely based on what you have said.

You said oral and manual a week before your last period. If he touched himself and then you there could have been a transfer of semen. The same if you touched him then yourself.

And it may be possible, though very unlikely, that you ovulated during the time that his sperm survived inside you even though you had your period. Again, this is very unlikely.

Remember, though, that things like sickness and stress can make you late, too. Even by a couple weeks (been there, not fun!!!). Worrying even more that you might be pregnant can increase this.

I suggest you buy a pregnancy test. These days they are almost exactly 100% accurate after the first week of a missed period. The tests they use in hospitals are the same.

If your scared of being recognised go out of town to buy one. If you can't just suck it up or ask your mom to make an appt. for you with your doc. Make up a reason, constant headaches, or whatever. When you're in there talk with your doc about it. Most docs aren't allowed to disclose this info to your parents and, where they are allowed to, won't any way. It's more important to them that you trust them enough to be honest so that they can treat you as you need and keep you healthy. If you're not sure you can trust your doc ask her if you can talk with her about stuff without her telling your parents. She will answer that honestly and explain wen and where she is obligated to tell your parents.

Still, based on what you have said, I think it unlikely that you are pregnant.

Here's me on a soap box:

Take this scare to heart. Condoms are a girl's best friend. Boys will come up with crazy excuses about them ranging from "I can't finish with one" to "I'm allergic to latex." The first is just silly. The second: they make non-latex condoms. You'll just have to wait until you buy some.

Pregnancy is the least of your worries with sex. No matter how much you love and trust a person it is irresponsible not to use one. People have been deeply in love and trusted each other for years and gotten HIV because their partner cheated. Life is not something anyone of us should sacrifice to prove we love someone. Love, in fact, would demand that we never ask anyone to make that sacrifice. Trust is something that can only exist when we are confident enough to protect ourselves. After all, if you can't protect yourself how can you protect another?

Similarly, oral sex can actually transmit STDs far more effectively than traditional sex. If you are sexually active at all (oral and manual included) getting tested for STDs regularly (every 6 months to a year) is in your best interest. It's scary but it's better than not knowing. It can save not only you by alerting you to a disease and allowing you to be treated for it but it can protect your partner as well.

I'm climbing off my soap box now.

Relax. No matter what knowledge is your best option. The only way to know you are not pregnant is to get tested.

Good luck.

PS:

Just read your edit re: condoms and parents. Don't worry about your parents for now. Find out what's going on with your body first. You can deal with your parents when you need to.

Condoms are not 100% effective. Do practice, no matter how cheesy it is, to be sure you can use them right. Also you can use a spermicide along with them and it does help a lot more if one breaks. There are spermicide films, now. Kinda like the Listerine fresh breath strips, that are less messy and easier than foams, jellies, and suppositories.

you are more than likely not pregnant but if you keep worrying that you are, your period probably will not be normal only because stress wil jstu do that to a womans body. i did just the same thing once when i was young every time my period was suppose to come around i would freak out worrying if i was gonna start or not and i never did on time because of worrying so much. just check into birth control, your local health dept can hook you for free and then you should have no worries, but of course, keep using a condom!!!!

Buy a pregnancy test kit, and keep your fingers crossed. Pregnancy signs do not always appear that early.
