Pot has a very strong smell that is hard to conceal. You can burn a couple sticks of incense at the same time but it won't be magic. Pot smoke is also very dense, and will just sit in the air for a long time so you need to get it moving along with a fan. If you smoke it out of a water or gravity bong, the smell won't be as strong in the house.

You could attach a wet filter (towel or napkin) to your exhaust fan.

You could do it in the bathroom with your shower running very hot. The steam should act like an air scrubber.

You could use a water pipe.

You could collect the smoke by blowing it inside a big plastic bag.

My brother in-law smokes legalized or medicinal marijuana. The state of CA allows this. He purchased a ionizer air cleaning machine. This thing sucks the smoke and Oder's out of the air fast, However it' s a bit pricey, but hey that's the price you pay for getting high in your own home. these are available in just about any store. I would also purchase Oust a anti-bacterial air spray.
